Righteous Fear vs. Sinful Delusion

Allah says in Quran:

O you who believe! Turn to Allāh with sincere repentance! It may be that your Lord will remit from you your sins, and admit you into Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise)

  • Ibn Qayyim said: “Do not belittle a small sin, for the biggest of fires can be caused by the smallest of sparks.”
  • If a person fulfills these 3 conditions then he is truthful in his repentance;
    • Regret over the sin committed
    • Abstaining from committing bad deeds
    • Firm resolve to not return to the sin
  • May Allah guide us to the straight path.
