Ramadan Fasting

Allah says in Quran:

O you who believe! Observing Aṣ‑Ṣaum (the fast) is prescribed for you, as it was prescribed for those before you, that you may become Al‑Muttaqūn (the pious).

Al-Baqara: Ayah 183

  • During Ramadan, we are encouraged to be our best selves. We are taught that fasting is not simply about staying away from food and drink, but that our character should be in its best state.
  • For example in Ramadan, We know we should be more charitable during this month, so we try to give more. We know that we should not waste time, so we try to increase our recitation of Qur’an. This is a gift from Allah because we create good habits during this month that should last beyond the end of the month.
  • May Allah ease everything for us.
