Allah says in Quran:

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ ٱجۡتَنِبُواْ كَثِيرٗا مِّنَ ٱلظَّنِّ إِنَّ بَعۡضَ ٱلظَّنِّ إِثۡمٞۖ وَلَا تَجَسَّسُواْ وَلَا يَغۡتَب بَّعۡضُكُم بَعۡضًاۚ أَيُحِبُّ أَحَدُكُمۡ أَن يَأۡكُلَ لَحۡمَ أَخِيهِ مَيۡتٗا فَكَرِهۡتُمُوهُۚ وَٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ تَوَّابٌ رَّحِيمٌ

O you who believe! Avoid much suspicion; indeed some suspicions are sins. And spy not, neither backbite one another. Would one of you like to eat the flesh of his dead brother? You would hate it (so hate backbiting) And fear Allāh. Verily, Allāh is the One Who forgives and accepts repentance, Most Merciful.

Surah Al-Hujuraat: Ayah 12

• Tajassus linguistically: It is taken from jassa al-khabar to mean searched and looked for some news. Tajassus is searching for the hidden parts of things, mainly used in an evil sense. al-jasus (the spy) is a person who spies for matters then returns with their news. He is the possessor of evil secrets, whereas al-namus (the confidant) is the possessor of good secrets.
• Tajassus technically: It is searching for private matters and faults, exposing what the people have concealed.
• May Allah protect us.

يَا حَيُّ يَا قَيُّوْمُ بِرَحْمَتِكَ أَسْتَغِيْثُ، أَصْلِحْ لِي شَأْنِيَ كُلَّهُ، وَلاَ تَكِلْنِي إِلَى نَفْسِي طَرْفَةَ عَيْنٍ

Maksudnya: “Wahai Tuhan Yang Maha Hidup, wahai Tuhan Yang Maha Berdiri Sendiri (tidak perlu segala sesuatu), dengan rahmatMu aku memohon pertolongan, perbaikilah urusanku semuanya dan janganlah Engkau serahkan aku kepada diriku sendiri walau sekelip mata.”

Riwayat An-Nasaie (10405)

Allah says in Quran:

إِذۡ يُوحِي رَبُّكَ إِلَى ٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ أَنِّي مَعَكُمۡ فَثَبِّتُواْ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْۚ سَأُلۡقِي فِي قُلُوبِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ ٱلرُّعۡبَ فَٱضۡرِبُواْ فَوۡقَ ٱلۡأَعۡنَاقِ وَٱضۡرِبُواْ مِنۡهُمۡ كُلَّ بَنَانٖ

(Remember) when your Lord revealed to the angels, “Verily, I am with you, so keep firm those who have believed. I will cast terror into the hearts of those who have disbelieved, so strike them over the necks, and smite over all their fingers and toes.”

Surah Al-Anfaal: Ayah 12

• NO, we are not naive and NO, we are not unrealistic. We understand very well the current stakes and the immense challenges facing us. But we will not fall into the traps of the devil who would have us believe that all is lost and that we can do nothing. We will not spend our time lamenting.
• ALLAH has promised victory to the truthful, Here on earth and in the Hereafter! But for that, we have to earn it, we have to move. We have to act.
• Now is the time, folks. Do you have a network? You have financial means? Notoriety? Some ideas? A finger to click? Then ACT and SUPPORT those who act.
• We will change, and the world will change, Insha Allah!

Daripada Abu Hurairah RA, bahawasanya Rasulullah ﷺ bersabda:

حُجِبَتِ النَّارُ بِالشَّهَوَاتِ، وَحُجِبَتِ الْجَنَّةُ بِالْمَكَارِهِ

Maksudnya: “Neraka dikelilingi dengan syahwat (hal-hal yang menyenangkan nafsu), sedang syurga dikelilingi hal-hal yang tidak disenangi (nafsu).

Riwayat al-Bukhari (6487)

• Perkara yang disukai oleh syahwat, kebanyakkannya yang tidak baik, seperti nafsu liar, tamak, amarah, bercakap tidak senonoh, mengambil atau merosakkan hak orang, bertindak tanpa hak dan sebagainya. Semua ini, apabila dilakukan, maka banyaklah maksiatnya dan tentu sekali ditempatkan ke neraka.
• Perkara yang tidak disukai oleh syahwat, kebanyakannya baik dan elok, seperti sabar, menjaga pandangan mata, lisan, pergaulan, makanan (halal) dan sebagainya. Andai semua ini dilakukan, maka akan kuranglah maksiatnya, dan tentulah di tempatkan ke syurga.
• Oleh itu, marilah sama-sama kita berusaha untuk mendidik hawa nafsu kita untuk melakukan kebaikan dan bukannya kemungkaran.

Daripada Amru bin Syu’aib dari ayahnya dari datuknya dari Nabi ﷺ bersabda:

يُحْشَرُ الْمُتَكَبِّرُونَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ أَمْثَالَ الذَّرِّ فِي صُوَرِ الرِّجَالِ يَغْشَاهُمْ الذُّلُّ مِنْ كُلِّ مَكَانٍ فَيُسَاقُونَ إِلَى سِجْنٍ فِي جَهَنَّمَ يُسَمَّى بُولَسَ تَعْلُوهُمْ نَارُ الْأَنْيَارِ يُسْقَوْنَ مِنْ عُصَارَةِ أَهْلِ النَّارِ طِينَةَ الْخَبَالِ

Maksudnya: “Orang-orang sombong dikumpulkan pada hari kiamat seperti semut bermuka manusia, mereka diliputi kehinaan dari segala penjuru, mereka diiring menuju penjara di neraka jahanam yang bernama Bulas, di atas mereka ada api paling panas, mereka diberi minum muntahan dan darah penduduk neraka yang namanya thinatul khabal.”

Riwayat at-Tirmizi (2492)

• Sombong adalah sifat syaitan yang merasa dirinya lebih mulia dan lebih baik serta merendahkan Nabi Adam.
• Orang sombong ibarat dia berdiri di atas gunung dan melihat orang lain kecil, tapi dia tidak sedar bahawa orang lain juga melihat dirinya kecil.
• Marilah kita bersifat Rahmah dengan menjauhi sifat sombong.

Narrated Abu Hurairah RA, the prophet ﷺ kissed Al-Hasan bin `Ali while Al-Aqra’ bin Habis at-Tamim was sitting beside him. Al-Aqra said, “I have ten children and I have never kissed anyone of them,” The prophet ﷺ cast a look at him and said:

مَنْ لاَ يَرْحَمُ لاَ يُرْحَمُ ‏

“Whoever is not merciful to others will not be treated mercifully.”

Sahih al-Bukhari (5997)

• Be gentle with your children, And they will be gentle with you. In shaa Allah

Regarding istikharah prayer, it is one of the sunnah taught by the Prophet ﷺ. This is in accordance with a narration from Jabir bin Abdullah:

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُعَلِّمُنَا الاِسْتِخَارَةَ فِي الأُمُورِ كُلِّهَا كَمَا يُعَلِّمُنَا السُّورَةَ مِنَ القُرْآنِ ، يَقُولُ: إِذَا هَمَّ أَحَدُكُمْ بِالأَمْرِ فَلْيَرْكَعْ رَكْعَتَيْنِ مِنْ غَيْرِ الفَرِيضَةِ ، ثُمَّ لِيَقُلْ : اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْتَخِيرُكَ بِعِلْمِكَ ، وَأَسْتَقْدِرُكَ بِقُدْرَتِكَ ، وَأَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ العَظِيمِ ، فَإِنَّكَ تَقْدِرُ وَلاَ أَقْدِرُ ، وَتَعْلَمُ وَلاَ أَعْلَمُ ، وَأَنْتَ عَلاَّمُ الغُيُوبِ ، اللَّهُمَّ إِنْ كُنْتَ تَعْلَمُ أَنَّ هَذَا الأَمْرَ خَيْرٌ لِي فِي دِينِي وَمَعِيشَتِي وَعَاقِبَةِ أَمْرِي ، أَوْ قَالَ : فِي عَاجِلِ أَمْرِي وَآجِلِهِ ، فَيَسِّرْهُ لِي ، ثُمَّ بَارِكْ لِي فِيهِ ، وَإِنْ كُنْتَ تَعْلَمُ أَنَّ هَذَا الأَمْرَ شَرٌّ لِي فِي دِينِي وَمَعِيشَتِي وَعَاقِبَةِ أَمْرِي ، أَوْ قَالَ : فِي عَاجِلِ أَمْرِي وَآجِلِهِ ، فَاصْرِفْهُ عَنِّي ، وَاصْرِفْنِي عَنْهُ ، وَاقْدُرْ لِي الخَيْرَ حَيْثُ كَانَ ، ثُمَّ أَرْضِنِي بِهِ ، قَالَ : وَيُسَمِّي حَاجَتَهُ.

“The Prophet ﷺ used to teach us the way of doing Istikharah (Istikharah means to ask Allah to guide one to the right sort of action concerning any job or a deed), in all matters as he taught us the Suras of the Qur’an. He said, “If anyone of you thinks of doing any job he should offer a two rakaat prayer other than the compulsory ones and say (after the prayer):’Allahumma inni astakhiruka bi’ilmika, Wa astaqdiruka bi-qudratika, Wa as’alaka min fadlika Al-azlm Fa-innaka taqdiru Wala aqdiru, Wa ta’lamu Wala a’lamu, Wa anta ‘allamu l-ghuyub. Allahumma, in kunta ta’lam anna hadha-lamra Khairun li fi dini wa ma’ashi wa’aqibati Amri (or ‘ajiliAmri wa’ajilihi) Faqdirhu wa yas-sirhu li thumma barik li Fihi, Wa in kunta ta’lamu anna hadha-lamra shar-run li fi dini wa ma’ashi wa’aqibati Amri (or fi’ajili Amri wa ajilihi) Fasrifhu anni was-rifni anhu. Waqdir li al-khaira haithu kana Thumma ardini bihi.'(O Allah! I ask guidance from Your knowledge, And Power from Your Might and I ask for Your great blessings. You are capable and I am not. You know and I do not and You know the unseen. O, Allah! If You know that this job is good for my religion and my subsistence and in my Hereafter (or said: If it is better for my present and later needs) Then You ordain it for me and make it easy for me to get, And then bless me in it, and if You know that this job is harmful to me In my religion and subsistence and in the Hereafter (or said: If it is worse for my present and later needs) Then keep it away from me and let me be away from it. And ordain for me whatever is good for me. And make me satisfied with it). The Prophet ﷺ added that then the person should name (mention) his need.”

Jami` at-Tirmidhi (480)

Daripada al-Bara’ berkata, bahawa Rasulullah ﷺ bersabda:

مَا مِنْ مُسْلِمَيْنِ يَلْتَقِيَانِ، فَيَتَصَافَحَانِ، إِلَّا غُفِرَ لَهُمَا قَبْلَ أَنْ يَتَفَرَّقَا

Maksudnya: “Tidaklah ada dua orang muslim itu apabila bertemu, lalu bersalamanan, melainkan akan diampunkan dosa keduanya sebelum mereka berpisah.”
