A perfect Wudu’ (ablution) wipes away sins

Uthman b. ‘Affan reported: The Messenger of Allah (way peace be upon him) said:

مَنْ تَوَضَّأَ فَأَحْسَنَ الْوُضُوءَ خَرَجَتْ خَطَايَاهُ مِنْ جَسَدِهِ حَتَّى تَخْرُجَ مِنْ تَحْتِ أَظْفَارِهِ ‏

He who performed ablution well, his sins would come out from his body, even coming out from under his nails.

Sahih Muslim (245)

  • Wudu’ is not merely a requirement for the validity of prayer but also an act of worship with great virtues. When performed with the right intention and perfection, it becomes a means of cleansing oneself from minor sins.
  • Perfecting the wudu’ means performing it with full attention, following the proper sequence, and adhering to the Sunnah. Diligence in wudu’ reflects love for Allah and the desire to attain His blessings.
  • May we always be granted the strength to perfect our wudu’ and make it an act of worship accepted by Allah SWT.
